2015 Oct trip to Nicaragua

Well, we are back from Nicaragua, for the year! What a trip! We took  a Medical team down and it went great! We brought medical service to more than five hundred people this year! Most were small children and the rest were mothers and grandma’s!  The team worked hard and were rewarded with great success! Our team members are Wade from Washington, Tristan and Chandra  from Twin Falls, Idaho, myself and Donalyn from Oregon and Ben  from Oregon also!   Our location was at White Dove Fellowship at San Marcos, Nicaragua, Pastor Frank  and his wonderful wife Shellie were our host!  We worked in their coffee fields and everywhere else they needed help. We got to minister the word and work with the youth, it was great! Some of our members were a little sick, but pulled through with flying colors! We are looking forward to next year already!!

Nicaragua Mission Trip – October 2014

We returned from our 8 day trip to El Crucero, Nicaragua on 10/11/14, with our hearts deeply blessed by the staff, the children from the orphanage and school, and the pastors and congregation members of the churches we visited throughout the week!

There were six of us on this team:  Myself and Donalyn from Sisters, Oregon; Juan and Jacob, both from Redmond, Oregon; and Tristan and Chandra from Twin Falls, Idaho.

We had excellent opportunities to serve many  children at Feeding Stations already developed by various churches in El Crucero and outlying communities.  We visited with the children from the orphanage, and I preached the Word of God fervently in six churches.  I requested that each team member introduce themselves at each church, and provide either their own personal tesitmony or whatever the Lord commanded them to speak in each environment.  Each member of the team found that while they went to bless others, they themselves received substantial blessings back from the congregations!

While the experiences at each church were different, we found that each congregation, no matter how large or small, expressed their love and admiration for the same God we worship in the same ways we do, only in Spanish rather than English.

New this year was the opportunity to provide medical clinics in two village locations.  The need was great, and the opportunity to minister was powerful.

We saw the Lord provide many miracles, signs and wonders before our very eyes.  Two examples:

  1. One woman had a large growth under her arm that led down to her wrist.  After prayer by two of our team members, the growth was completely gone.  The woman was full of smiles as she realized what had happened, along with the translator from that church!
  2. One small baby girl, about 9 months old, was diagnosed with possible pneumonia.  She needed to go to the doctor, but after praying for her, she was healed, her lungs were clear!

To the New Hope Children Foundation:

Thank you for your  hosts and hostesses at El Crucero for providing meals, lodging,  transportation to all locations!  We were richly blessed by each of you, your hearts for serving the Lord are to be deeply rewarded!!  Thank you also for your translation skills!  We were able to communicate with many more people because of you!

I want to point out a special thank you to Juan, our own team member, for his ability to translate when we were ministering the Word, along with his incredible ability and willingness to translate whenever needed in both individual and group settings.

A job well done by all involved.  Thank you so much!

Departure Time – October 4th, 2014

Well, here we are getting ready to leave on Oct   4th on a mission trip to Nicaragua! The team is ready and they are getting a little excited! Talked with Pastor Ford in Texas today, and he is excited that we are coming down to help them in Nicaragua.

It looks like we will be helping with a number of Feeding Stations this time! Then we will be preaching in churches in the outside areas. We will be helping in the orphanage. Can’t wait to see the staff and students again!

Hopefully, we will be able to do Medical work in the outlying villages, and lay hands on the people for healing!

We thank you for your prayers and support for this trip!
